Do you offer a tailored chair?

How does a rise and recline chair work?

All rise and recline chairs use mains-power needed to power the built in motor for the rise and recline action of the chair. An easy to use, hand-held control is connected to the recliner that carefully adjusts the chair to a prefect seating position just for you.  This helpful video is available on our website

You make rise and recline chairs, so do you make other furniture?

Our rise and recline chairs provide comfort and exactly fits your needs. Sofas are available in any size, with different single or dual motor actions for recline only or rise and recline seating. All Primacare Sofas are constructed with removable backs like all chairs. This allows ease of access into most properties. Two and three seat sofas are available with matching stools. I need a rise and recline chair quickly; can you help me?

If you need a chair quickly, we do offer 3 general sizes, available in the Brecon or Aberdare style with a more limited choice of colours. The Express Chair will be made and delivered to you within 7 working days. Further information on our Express Chair can be found on our website.

Do you offer a healthcare massage chair?

How can I buy a healthcare shower chair?

Would healthcare dining chairs be suitable in my home?

Primacare have many styles of high back chair which use polished solid beech hardwood frames. These could be a suitable option for you and can be viewed on our website

What is pressure care?

The aim is to maintain healthy skin and thus prevent breakdown and the development of pressure ulcers. A pressure ulcer is a localised injury to the skin and/or underlying tissue usually over a bony prominence. The 4 main factors implicated are interface pressure, shear, friction, and moisture. Pressure ulcers can range in severity from patches of discoloured skin to open wounds that expose the underlying bone or muscle. – source NHS UK

Can your rise and recline chairs provide pressure area care?

It is CRITICAL to use a chair that has been measured and adjusted to the size and shape of the individual. Correct Posture leads to maximising the contact area which in turn minimises pressure on the body parts. Occupational Therapists and Specialists will advise repositioning every 2 hours and the use of significant tilt angles (up to 45 degrees) which can achieve pressure reductions, particularly in the pelvic area. When asked this question is asked locally, we always refer people to the Governance e-manual that provides advice and guidance on all aspects of governance in the NHS in Wales. Having read the current legislation relating to pressure area care, why choose your range of rise and recline chairs?

Here at Primacare, we take Pressure Management Mapping seriously. Our different seat cushions options have all been extensively tested using a pressure mat which contains 120 different pressure sensors over the seating area of a chair. Pressure Mapping is unique to the individual user, the type of cushion and the relative position of the chair. However the mapping can give proportional performance and a pressure map when comparing different cushions with the same user. Is air mattress pressure care a seating option that you offer?

All standard Primacare rise and recline chairs use high quality high density Reflex foam cushions. We offer 4 different firmness grades to be able to personalise the rise and recline chair. An Alternating Air Cushion uses an air pump to continuously inflate and deflate cells with the cushion. More information can be viewed on Foams and Fillings on our website.

We appreciate that buying a rise and recline chair can be a little overwhelming sometimes, so we have a Mobility Retailer Network across the UK. Will I be able to match the fabric of the rise and recline chair to my home interior?

Primacare offers a massive range of materials and has an extensive network of suppliers throughout the UK. We can also use Customers Own fabrics as long as it passes UK fire regulation testing. Our dealers and fabric suppliers have swatches and can source all samples.

I have a rise and recline chair, is there accessories that I can purchase?

All our standard rise and recline chairs are supplied with simple push button controllers and 24 volt transformers with emergency recovery.
